A Little About Me.

Originally from the UK, I now reside in Millbrook, Ontario (a little over an hour from Toronto) with my wife and kids.  When I'm not obsessing over analytics, I like to spend my time with my family growing our own food in the kitchen garden, or on my bike exploring the beautiful surroundings of Peterborough and the Kawarthas

Introducing team training and hiring programme

As a freelance consultant, I provided agencies with a clearer understanding of the technology options available to them to deliver outstanding mobile solutions.

Using Bemoko Mobile Platform (HTML5, CSS3, Groovy, Java & Freemarker), I budgeted, designed and built campaigns and corporate sites for brands throughout the UK and US including:
mCommerce site for PizzaHut UK
Seasonal mobile campaigns for JCPenney, Victoria Secret, AT&T, and Huggies
Hybrid app for smart home monitoring for Scottish Power
Mobile & desktop personal health tracking and monitoring for Novartis Pharmaceuticals.
Planned, designed & built an mCommerce site for Rogers Media (RDeals) allowing true one-click purchases on the website directly through the customer's wireless bill.
Volunteer  consultancy for a mobile freedom of speech NGO based in Zimbabwe. Provided them with guidance on mobile technologies, helped to improve their UX and provided training to partners throughout South Africa and Zimbabwe.

At MyThum Interactive, I was the lead consultant for mobile web solutions. My role was to initiate mobile web solutions as a product and then provide internal training to gear up other developers to take on the magnitude of mobile web work. I worked closely with the sales team and account executives to provide research into how mobile technology could fit into their clients' next campaigns.

Mobile site for CTV.ca to cover the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, providing a second screen experience with TV scheduling, and result tables as they happened
Mobile vacation booking service for Sunwing Vacations.
The WirelessBoxOffice mTicketing solution for LiveNation, to offer exclusive concerts to Rogers customers and fast track entry using QR barcode tickets.
Designed and developed multiple Molson branded (Coors Light, Canadian, Heineken, Corona) projects.

At Volantis Systems, I was initially responsible for the management of the device database, but with the speed of the mobile landscape, I had to build up a team of three engineers (two of which were based in Poland) to support me. My team would test thousands of mobile devices from around the world to document their capabilities and quirks. I then went on to the professional services team to deliver carrier-grade mobile portal solutions to global customers and worked as a technical pre-sales consultant, providing the sales team with technical concepts and feasibility research, often in far corners of the globe.

Product manager.

With a career in development, marketing, management, and strategy, I'm uniquely positioned to provide in-depth knowledge for the entire lifecycle of a digital product.

Growth hacker.

What's a growth hacker? We're often unique in that we carry multiple identities. Part developer, part data analyst, part marketer, and full time obsessive. Growth hackers strive to analyze, hypothesize, build, test and repeat to provide a better product for the end user and grow the business.

Web developer.

As a front-end web developer that specialized in mobile web, I have an healthy obsession with site performance and design.  If its shaving milliseconds from page load, or decluttering design, my goal is to create an awesome  user experience.
